FCA - Flexdrive Cables Australia
Flexdrive Cables Australia has its origins as far back as 1939 with rapid expansion during the 1950’s from the development of
the Australian Auto Industry. It remains one of a very small group of independent Australian companies surviving from
that era. Located in the regional centre of Gisborne 50Km north of Melbourne the company is a significant contributor
to the local community providing employment, sub-contract work and assistance to local community groups.
1939 - Commenced manufacturing speedo cables
1947 - Holden’s 1st Australian model supplied
1953 - Listed on Australian Stock Exchange
1973 - License agreement with TSK Japan
1974 - New Gisborne facility constructed
1982 - Lanes Motors takeover
1986 - Denso and TSK takeover
1998 - Denso takes 100% ownership
2003 - Flexdrive Cables Australia take ownership
